Postcards Received Week of February 24th thru March 2nd

The postcrosser translated the illustration on the back which says "....midnight, car rushes on dirt road. The driver nervously looked back..."
He said that with a sentence like that it could be part of a horror book. He prefers fantasy and adventure stories.

Postcards Received December 16th thru December 22nd

Here is the recipe for Southern Pecan Pie.
3 eggs
2/3 cup sugar
1 cup dark corn syrup
1/3 cup melted butter or margarine
1 cup pecan halves
1 9-inch unbaked pastry shell
Dash of salt
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat eggs thoroughly with sugar, dash of salt, corn syrup and melted butter or margarine. Add pecans. Pour into unbaked pastry shell. Bake for 50 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between center and outside of filling comes out clean. Cool.
